Spearmint Oil, CAS#8008-79-5, is a natural volatile essential oil. It is produced via steam distillation using fresh aerial parts of flowering Mentha spicata L. (spearmint plant).
Careful harvesting of flowering spearmint above-ground raw materials helps preserve the complete natural aroma composition. Steam distillation is the traditional and mature extraction method for this oil, which effectively separates the volatile aromatic fraction from plant biomass while minimizing damage to key fragrant compounds.
The finished spearmint oil carries a characteristic fresh, green and sweet minty aromatic odor, distinct from the sharp cooling sensation of peppermint oil. It delivers a mild, clean spearmint note, making it popular in flavor and fragrance formulation.
This essential oil is widely used in oral care products, chewing gum, confectionery, beverage flavors, aromatherapy and cosmetic fragrance systems. We supply bulk spearmint oil with consistent batch-to-batch quality for large-volume FCL orders.
