Also known as pseudocumene, this compound belongs to aromatic hydrocarbons. It is widely found in industrial mixed solvents with corresponding boiling ranges. Among trimethylbenzene isomers, pseudocumene is the most extensively adopted variant for commercial manufacturing and solvent applications. The aromatic fractions within hydrocarbon solvents mainly consist of single-ring alkylated aromatics, as well as double-ring aromatic structures that may carry alkyl substituents.
