Core Advantages & Performance Features

Compared with SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), SLES is ethoxylated, delivering milder irritation while maintaining strong cleaning and foaming capacity. It produces rich, stable and fine foam, and shows excellent emulsification, wetting and dispersion performance. This surfactant has good compatibility with nonionic, amphoteric surfactants and most cosmetic additives. It can be easily thickened with sodium chloride for formulation adjustment and features good biodegradability, meeting mainstream environmental requirements for daily chemical raw materials.

Application Scenarios

Personal Care Formulations

Shampoo, body wash, bubble bath, hand sanitizer, facial cleanser and toothpaste. It serves as the primary foaming and cleansing base for most rinse-off personal care items.

Household Liquid Detergents

Dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid, multi-purpose hard-surface cleaner. It efficiently removes grease, oil stains and daily dirt.

Industrial Auxiliary Fields

Textile scouring and wetting agent, leather degreasing additive, vehicle washing liquid, heavy-duty industrial degreaser for metal surface treatment.

Packaging, Transportation & Storage

  • Standard Packing: 170kg HDPE sealed plastic drum; optional 1000kg IBC tote tank for bulk demand. Customized packing is negotiable for large orders.

  • Loading Reference: Around 19.38MT per 20GP FCL (170kg drum, non-palletized).

  • Shipping Ports: Tianjin, Qingdao or other designated Chinese ports. We support FOB, CIF and CFR trade terms.

  • Storage Requirements: Keep sealed in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, storage temperature 15–35℃. Avoid long-time freezing, direct sunlight, strong acid and oxidants. Gentle warming below 50℃ can recover fluidity if paste thickens at low temperature.

  • Shelf Life: 12 months under proper storage conditions.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between SLES and SLS?

A1: SLES is ethoxylated, milder for skin and eyes, foam softer and more stable. SLS has stronger degreasing effect but higher irritation. SLES is more widely adopted in mainstream personal care products.

Q2: Can I get a sample before bulk order?

A2: Yes, small lab samples are available. Sample freight will be charged by customer side, and sample cost can be deducted from your subsequent formal FCL order.

Q3: Is SLES 70% hazardous cargo for sea shipment?

A3: It is general chemical goods, non-dangerous cargo. We will prepare full SDS and shipping mark for customs clearance.

Q4: What is your production lead time after order confirmation?

A4: Normally 7–10 working days for one 20GP container after receiving deposit. We will inform you in advance if there is raw material shortage.

Q5: Can you adjust the index or provide different EO versions?

A5: We mainly supply 2EO standard grade SLES70. Please send your target specification sheet, we will check feasibility and quote accordingly.
