Lauryl glucoside is a soft nonionic surfactant popularly used in skincare and haircare goods, with reliable cleaning and rich foaming effects.
Made from renewable plant-based glucose and lauryl alcohol, it treats sensitive skin gently without causing irritation, so it’s frequently added into shampoo, body wash and facial cleanser recipes.
Just like decyl glucoside and octyl glucoside, this ingredient dissolves easily in water and can fully break down naturally after use. It is therefore an eco-friendly raw material for cosmetic formulas.

Lauryl Glucoside, also known as dodecyl glucoside, is a mild nonionic surfactant belonging to the alkyl polyglucoside (APG) family. It is synthesized from fully renewable plant raw materials: glucose extracted from corn or potato starch, and lauryl alcohol derived from coconut or palm kernel oil, making it a typical green cosmetic raw material.
This ingredient boasts outstanding comprehensive performance. It features excellent water solubility, rich and stable foam, as well as powerful dirt removal capacity. Most importantly, it delivers ultra-mild cleansing with nearly no irritation to skin and eyes, without stripping the skin’s natural protective lipids, so it is highly suitable for sensitive, dry and infant skin types.
