Product Details
Product Description of Thiosalicylic Acid (CAS No.: 147-93-3)
Thiosalicylic acid, also referred to as o-mercaptobenzoic acid, presents as white triclinic crystals or a white solid. It is soluble in ethanol and glacial acetic acid, and slightly soluble in water.
It is used in the synthesis of thioindigo dyes and also acts as a reagent for iron analysis. Additionally, it is applied in the electroplating industry for the anti-corrosion treatment of ferrous metals and for metal surface treatment. It is also used as a colorant in the ceramic industry.
