Product Overview
Prussian Blue, also widely known as Iron Blue, is an inorganic blue pigment marked with CAS number 14038-43-8.
Iron blue is chemically referred to as ferric ammonium ferrocyanide Fe(Fe(CN)₆)₃. This material is generated through the reaction of sodium ferrocyanide and ferrous sulfate in the presence of ammonium sulfate. Pigments prepared with sodium or potassium salts are called ferric ferrocyanide.
It features deep navy blue shade, high tinting strength, good light fastness and heat stability. The powder is practically insoluble in water and most common organic solvents.
