Isophorondiamine CAS#2855-13-2
Isophorone diamine acts as a high-performance curing agent specially formulated for epoxy resin systems. It should be noted that this substance is a potent sensitizer; proper protective measures must be implemented during handling, as it may trigger airborne contact dermatitis through inhalation or skin exposure.

Product Application of Isophorondiamine CAS#2855-13-2
Product Overview
Isophorondiamine (IPD, CAS 2855-13-2) is a common cycloaliphatic amine curing agent widely adopted in epoxy formulation. It is often selected to prepare epoxy networks based on bisphenol A diglycidyl ether prepolymer. Typical aliphatic amine curing agents used for comparison include triethylenetetramine (TETA), 1-(2-aminoethyl) piperazine (AEP) and isophorondiamine (IPD). Attention should be paid to its hazard property: this material may induce allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) for exposed operators.
Application Scenarios
As an alicyclic amine epoxy hardener, IPD is widely used in solvent-free epoxy floor coatings, anti-corrosion protective coatings, epoxy casting materials, epoxy adhesives and composite material systems. The cured epoxy system delivers good mechanical strength, low yellowing performance and excellent chemical resistance, which makes it popular for industrial anti-corrosion, construction and electronic insulation applications.
Lead Time & Inventory
Stock goods: Shipment can be arranged within 2–3 working days
Items requiring new batch production: The lead time will be 7–10 working days
After-sales & Technical Service
We supply complete batch documents including COA, TDS and SDS for each shipment. Our technical team offers support for product storage guidance, safe handling instructions and formulation consultation. We respond to technical enquiries promptly. If any quality issue arises upon receipt of goods with valid inspection evidence, we will carry out assessment and negotiate proper solutions.
Packaging & Transportation
Standard export packing adopts sealed metal drums. Drums will be palletized and fixed securely inside containers to prevent rolling, collision and leakage during long transit. We support multiple trade terms such as FCA factory, DAP destination. The goods need to be stored in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, kept away from strong acids, oxidants and direct sunlight.
Customer Cases
We supply IPD to epoxy formulation factories, coating manufacturers and composite material producers. Our clients include coating raw material distributors and epoxy adhesive plants. We support trial orders for formulation testing before bulk mass supply, and maintain stable long-term cooperation with many customers with consistent batch quality.
