1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorodecyltriethoxysilane, alternatively referred to as perfluoroalkylethyltriethoxysilane (PFATES), is a high-performance fluorinated silane coupling agent. Featuring a unique molecular structure composed of long-chain perfluorocarbon segments and hydrolyzable ethoxy groups, this product is capable of forming robust chemical bonds between fluoropolymer materials like PTFE and inorganic substrates including silicon wafers.

Benefiting from its ultra-low surface energy property, it serves as an ideal functional material for preparing anti-reflection coatings, release coatings and stain-resistant coatings. Moreover, it is widely formulated into anti-fingerprint treatment agents. It is extensively applied on glass substrates such as high-end smartphone displays, optical camera lenses and precision optical components to endow surfaces with prominent water-repellent, oil-repellent and anti-smudge capabilities.

Product Introduction & Advantages

1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorodecyltriethoxysilane is a classic fluorinated alkyl silane coupling agent. The molecule contains long-chain perfluorocarbon segment and reactive triethoxysilyl group.

The ethoxy groups are capable of hydrolyzing and forming stable covalent bonds with hydroxyl groups on the surface of glass, metal, ceramics, silica and other inorganic substrates. Meanwhile, the dense fluorocarbon chain can self-assemble on material surface to construct uniform low-surface-energy coating.

This product delivers excellent water-repellent, oil-repellent, antifouling and anti-corrosion performance. The modified surface features outstanding hydrophobicity and oleophobicity, effectively resisting water, oil stains and contaminants adhesion. Besides, it brings remarkable wear resistance, weather resistance and chemical resistance to substrates.

It can be used for surface nano-coating treatment of glass optical components, electronic parts, building glass, precision molds and ceramic materials. It is widely applied in anti-fingerprint coating, waterproof anti-fouling treatment, easy-to-clean surface finishing and metal anti-corrosion modification.

The finished coating has good transparency and will not affect the original appearance and light transmittance of substrates. It features stable storage property under proper sealed conditions.
